delivery info
With hirst & hirst, you'll only pay once for delivery, no matter how large your order. The maximum delivery charge for standard delivery within the UK is £4.95. However, on smaller items that will go in an envelope or jiffy bag, the charge is less if you are only ordering that item. If paying for delivery puts you off, think of how much your petrol and parking charges are if you have to drive somewhere to shop. And those websites offering free delivery are building it into their costs somewhere, so you are paying for delivery, it's just not classed as an extra charge. For shipping to other countries it's the same principle - select delivery country at checkout and you will be given the options. If you are able to get to Oakham, you can select the option at checkout to collect the items in store at hirst & hirst living. Click here for directions. We aim to dispatch all orders within 24 hours of payment (Monday to Friday). Please allow extra time for delivery in busy periods like Christmas. If the rare event that your item is out of stock we will contact you immediately to arrange an alternative delivery date or to arrange a full refund. We will use reasonable endeavours to deliver products on or before the date for delivery set out in our order confirmation or, if no date is set out in our order confirmation, within 5 working days of the date of our order confirmation. However, we cannot guarantee delivery by the relevant date. We do however guarantee that unless there are exceptional circumstances all deliveries of products will be dispatched within 30 days of the later of receipt of payment and the date of our order confirmation. Delivery occurs when the items are delivered to the delivery address you specified when placing your order. At this point, responsibility for loss, breakage and damage passes to you. Should you specify at point of order that goods are to be left with a neighbour, please understand that this is at your own risk. We reuse our packaging wherever possible. We are delighted to ship abroad. Please note that you are responsible for any duties which may be payable upon the arrival of your goods in your country. Payments from overseas customers: Your card payment will be processed in GBP Sterling and your receipt will show GBP Sterling prices. Please note that any refund will be made in GBP and your card issuer will refund you using the Exchange Rate that is in use for that day and this could be different to the original rate you were charged when making your payment. Your card issuer may also levy a currency conversion charge and/or a transaction fee, and this may not be reversed in the event of any refund or order cancellation. This means that your refund could be slightly more or less than you have originally paid and we will not be responsible for this difference.
